This section details common questions we have recieved in enqiries, or things we have encountered ourselves.

When is the best time of year to go?

Florida is very fortunate to be further south than the UK, and as such has sun for most of the year.

In the summer months (June-August) temperatures will generally be above 30 degrees c. Many days will experience tropical storms in the afternoon but there's generally no need to take a raincoat as it dries out so quickly. We have found that August is busy in the parks and the autumn quiet - no long queues.

How much will my attraction tickets cost?

You can generally buy many types of tickets the choice is up to you, your budget and the length of your holiday.

  • Disney Allowing access to Disney's 4 theme parks and 2 water parks
  • Non-disney Getting you into Universal Studios, Islands Of Adventure, Sea World, Busch Gardens and Wet n Wild.

For the latest prices Disney and Uiversal on their websites and most holiday brochures You can also get information about Disney tickets in Disney stores in the US and UK.

How about food?

This is the best bit - Florida is still home to the 'all you can eat buffet'. For $10.99+tax (around £8) you can get a great variety of food on buffet, including drinks and as many courses as you can fit. Or for a few dollars more, you can choose a steakhouse with a fixed menu. Food can be expensive in the parks, but you can always pop back to the villa at lunch time.

How far away are the restaurants?

Our villa is minutes from Highway 192, where there is an abundance of restaurants these include, Golden Coral, Dennys and a selection of Italian and Chinese restaurants.

Do I need to hire a car?

Yes, we recomend getting a hire car as our villa is on a private community, not serviced by scheduled shuttle buses. You should pre-book your hire car when you book your flights so that you pick the car up at the airport when you land.

What direction does the villa face?

Our villa is south facing and the pool is in the sun for most of the day, and has a covered area for cooling down in.

Will the Pool be warm enough?

For an additional cost our pool and spa can be heated by arrangement with our Villa Manager. At certain times of the year it will be necessary to heat the pool.

Can I cook in the villa?

Sure - the kitchen is fully equiped, we've got a full page detailing the kitchen facilities. There are many supermarkets nearby - including a 24hr Wal-mart less than 5 minutes drive away.

Are pets and smoking allowed?

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the villa and for the comfort and safety of our guests no pets are allowed.
